fonts-thai-tlwg-udeb software package provides Thai fonts in TrueType format for D-I use, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-thai-tlwg-udeb
fonts-thai-tlwg-udeb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-thai-tlwg-udeb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-thai-tlwg-udeb *
You will get with fonts-thai-tlwg-udeb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
